A MOTHER-of-three has expressed her disgust after finding a photo of a man's genitals in a phone box near to a community centre and school in Worcester.

Thirty-one-year-old Kate Mann, of Swallowfields in Warndon Villages, Worcester, said she was horrified to find the photo on top of the phone in Ankerage Green, Lyppard Grange, Warndon Villages at about 9am on Wednesday as she went there to make a phone call.

The photograph was of a man exposing his genitalia and Mrs Mann said that as she was about to screw the photo up she noticed writing on the back saying if you want to see me play with this, phone Paul'.

She has since reported the matter to police, who are investigating the incident.

She said: "I was absolutely disgusted because it's right next to a school, community centre and busy shops and it's really busy around there.

"My children sometimes use the telephone box there and it's worrying to think that someone could do something like this."

Sian Williams, headteacher of the nearby Lyppard Grange Primary School in Ankerage Green, said she was shocked to hear about the incident.

She added: "Obviously anybody would be concerned about this sort of thing happening but I've certainly not heard of anything like this happening before.

"We have really good relationships with the community police around here and certainly anything like that I think they would support stopping.

"I'd also like to think that children at this school would inform their parents if they found anything like this."

The Lyppard Community Centre on Ankerage Green - which is across from the phone box - declined to comment on the matter.

A police spokeswoman said: "The matter has been reported to us and a statement has been taken and an officer is investigating the incident."

Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them on 08457 444 888, quoting 156/S/151106.
