People asked to donate unwanted items to hospice
4:00pm Friday 8th March 2013 in News
CUSTOMERS and staff at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold are holding a Donate, Don’t Dump Day for Primrose Hospice.
The garden centre holds regular days when customers can donate goods to their local hospices, which prove very successful.
Webbs is encouraging customers to come along to the store on Thursday, March 21, between 10am and 5pm and bring at least one good quality item which is no longer wanted or needed. No electrical items can be accepted.
Donations can be put straight into a collection cabin next to the plant express area at Webbs. These will then be taken directly to Primrose Hospice warehouse where everything will be sorted and taken into the charity’s shops to be sold.
Executive chairman Ed Webb said: “The aim of 'Donate, Don't Dump Day' is to improve the quality and quantity of donations to charity shops and for giving in this way to be an easy and frequent event. This helps charities such as Primrose to raise the much needed funds to carry out their invaluable work in the community.”
