MUSIC fans in Worcester will have one last chance to enjoy a memorable night of eclectic music blends with the Sexy Weirdos before the band embark on their second European tour.

Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos are returning to their spiritual home in the Faithful City to perform their blend of “carnival punk” at The Marrs Bar on Friday, March 29.

The band has received huge support from Worcester’s thriving local artistic community, which they say has been the best anywhere in the country.

Drummer Matthew Osborne said: “Marr's Bar is a great venue and last time we played there we were greeted by an audience consisting of a number of circus clowns so who knows what to expect this time.

“We are also very excited to be sharing the bill with the mighty China Shop Bull who are a real force to be reckoned with.

“Their live shows are incendiary and the combination of their live set and our own should mean that there won't be a dry armpit in the house.”

Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos first made their presence felt on the Birmingham scene in early 2010 and made two music videos to accompany their early recordings.

Last year, the band played on the main stage at Nozstock, two sets at Boomtown plus sell out shows at Hare and Hounds and The End in Birmingham.

With the release of self recorded and released debut album Victory for the Monstersin the autumn the band undertook a short European tour in early November, playing shows in Germany, Czech, France and Belgium.

On their return, they were invited by BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcester to do an acoustic session on the radio.

The band have also had their track Something Wonderful played on the Tom Robinson Mixtape on BBC 6 Music.
