THE Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for high winds in Worcester tomorrow.

The blue skies and sunshine over the Bank Holiday weekend and Tuesday have been replaced by grey skies and showers today with highs of about 16C this afternoon.

However, Thursday will see very strong southwesterly winds for the time of year.

Gusts of 50mph are likely to develop with the weather warning issued between 10am and 7pm.

The Met Office said people should be aware that some disruption to transport is possible along with possible damage to trees.

It is expected that the temperature will peak at 11C with heavy rain forecast in the afternoon.
