A CONSERVATION group is inviting people to find out more about local wildlife.
The Ouston and Urpeth Conservation Volunteers are holding two free events.
On Saturday (June 15) local expert Tina Wiffen will lead a bird identification walk through Walter’s Wood, near Ouston.
It will take place between 1 and 4pm, starting on the green between Angus and The Brooms, and will be followed by a bird box-making session.
On Monday June 17 between 6.30 and 8pm, medical herbalist Mary Tassell will lead a wild flower walk starting in Station Lane near the entrance to the Westline Trading Estate.
Children must be accompanied.
Sam Talbot, of the group, said: “We hope to enthuse people about their local environment.”
