GENEROUS pupils from Droitwich High School have raised £1,500 for St Richard’s Hospice.

The year eight pupils took part in the Flourishing Fivers initiative, where they were challenged to turn £5 into as much money for good causes as possible.

Dan Plumptre, Zac Usowics and Ryan Warehouse raised £600 by completing a bike ride in Cannock Chase, while others sold cakes, washed cars and walked dogs, among other activities, to generate cash.

St Richard’s fund-raiser Lizzie Brazier said: “This is a fantastic amount for the pupils to have raised.”
