THIS is an image of a man who racially abused and punched a Worcester taxi driver after he was told how much he needed to pay to get home.

The attack took place on Sunday, June 9, at about 12.10am after the driver picked up the man from the Cross taxi rank in a red Peugeot.

He was taken to Troutbeck Drive, Warndon, stopping at the Texaco service station on Tolladine Road to use the cash machine.

When they arrived at the destination the passenger was told the fare but refused to pay and began racially abusing the driver before punching him through the open window.

The driver was not seriously hurt.

Police are now appealing for information about the incident and the man, who is described as white, aged about 25, 5ft 4ins in height, of medium build, with short brown hair, and wearing a blue or black zip up top, and cargo style shorts camouflage pattern.
