A MAN from Bromsgrove has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was discovered in a car in Cornwall.

Police were called to a lay-by close to West Wayland Caravan Park on the A387 between Polperro and Looe in Cornwall at 5.30pm on Friday, June 28.

The body of a 28-year-old woman, from Wales, was discovered in a Ford Mondeo car and detectives say her death is being treated as "unexplained" at this time.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said a post-mortem examination has been carried out.

He added: "Police await the results of further forensic tests to determine the cause of death."

The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Newquay police station.

He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone with information should call Devon and Cornwall Police on the non-emergency number 101.
