A GANG of bikers were blessed by a boy bishop when they rolled into a church’s summer fete.
Members of the Harley Davidson Rolling Hills Chapter received a warm welcome when they made an appearance during a fete at Claines Church, near Worcester.
Vicar Jo Musson said the idea to give the gang a special blessing was inspired by the Pope blessing members of a 35,000 strong mass of bikers who rode into Rome to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Harley Davidson.
“Not to be outdone, we invited our Junior Bishop George Paterson to don his robes and bless the bikers who came to Claines,” she said.
“They seemed delighted, if not a little bemused. George was rewarded with sitting on one of the bikes which he enjoyed.”
