POLICE are using helicopters and dogs to scour Worcestershire for a man wanted in connection with a burglary and assault.
The incident happened in Stratford in the early hours of Sunday morning but the man in question was last seen in Worcester on Tuesday.
He is described as a white male in his 30s, five foot seven inches tall of muscular build with short, blond hair.
When last seen he was wearing a blue, long-sleeved shirt and three-quarter length cargo trousers.
Although he is believed to live in Stratford, it is thought he has connections with Worcester, Evesham, Pershore and Redditch.
West Mercia, Warwickshire and British Transport Police have been using helicopters and officers with dogs during searches of the Worcester, Evesham and Stratford areas.
Det Insp Liam Barry said: “Members of the public will be aware of searches being conducted in a number of locations, and I want to reassure them that all available resources are being used to locate this man.
“If you see him, or think you know where he is, please contact us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
