THIS is the face of a man police want to trace in connection with a burglary at a home near Worcester.

The owners were away on holiday so it is not clear yet what has been taken during the raid, which happened just over a week ago today. The burglary happened at an address in Wheatfields Park, Callow End between 7pm on Friday, September 6 and 7am on Saturday, September 7.

Sometime overnight it appears that thieves broke into the property by levering open an upstairs window with a tool of some sort and then climbing in through it.

Once inside the property it appears that the thieves carried out a thorough, extremely untidy search of a number of rooms before making their escape.

A police spokesman said: “The occupants of this property are on holiday at the present time so at this stage it is not clear what has actually been stolen.

“This man was seen to look in through a window at a neighbouring property on the same night that the burglary itself took place and therefore officers believe there is a distinct possibility he may be linked to the break-in.

“The man shown in the e-fit is also described as being white, aged between 25 and 30 and as having a round face. He is also described as wearing glasses with small lenses and a dark coloured woolly hat.”

Anyone who believes they recognise the man shown in the e-fit, or who believes they may have any information about the burglary itself, is asked to call police in Worcester as soon as possible on 101, quoting incident number 139S 070913. Alternatively, please remember information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather not identify yourself.
