A small equine visitor at bank day
4:00pm Monday 30th September 2013 in News
BANK customers in Droitwich got to enjoy some tea and homemade cakes during a special charity day which also featured a rather small equine visitor.
Lloyds Bank in the town’s Victoria Square used its re-branding event to hold a special fund-raiser for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Staff and visitors raised £200 for the society, which is the bank’s chosen charity of the year.
Droitiwch town mayor Tom Noyes officially launched the event which included the chance to meet and pet Honey the Shetland pony.
Customers were also asked for a donation as they tucked in to the cakes, which were made by staff, and tried a cup of tea or coffee.
Bank manager Laurie Cheape said: “The event went really well. Lots of our customers came to the re-branding event and helped us support the Alzheimer’s Society.
“The money will be added to the amount we have already raised for this very worthy cause.”
