A TRAILER containing around 30 drums and other musical instruments used in workshops in schools, churches and businesses was stolen in Bewdley yesterday.

The white single axel box trailer containing African hand drums and tom-toms along with around 200 percussion instruments including maracas, bells and tambourines worth a total of about £5,500, was taken from Damson Way between 9am and 3.30pm yesterday.

The instruments were owned by Tim Scarborough, who runs musical workshops with his business Rhythmicity and said he had been “devastated” by the theft.

“The trailer contained all of the items I use in my day to day work, so the theft has pretty much wiped me out,” he said.

Police have carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and anyone with any information can call 101 quoting incident number 442-s-300913.
