A CHARITY which creates real-hair wigs for young people will benefit after two council workers decided to chop their locks for a good cause.
About 40 people turned out to witness Jenny-Anne Bowley and Jamie Fielding, both development management assistants at Worcester City Council, lose their luscious, long locks.
Their feat raised £5,257.90 from city council staff at Orchard House which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs for children suffering hair loss.
Ms Fielding said: “Both Jenny-Anne and I have been meaning to cut our hair for a while and this seemed to be a perfect opportunity to raise some money and provide the hair for real hair wigs for children.
“Little Princess Trust do a great job and deserve everything we can do to help.”
