A LANDMARK country hotel has been sold after a sector specialist pulled off what seemed an unlikely deal.
Peter Brunt, a hotels director with Colliers International, bought The Hundred House Hotel for around £550,000, despite its original asking price in excess of seven figures.
Mr Brunt said: “It was being offered at a hugely ambitious price by local agents and I had to inject some realism after a very frank conversation with the owner.
“There is no shortage of passing trade and we quickly agreed a sale with a number of competitive offers having been made.
“I am looking forward to seeing the property transformed by the new owner.”
The 27-bedroom building, which is also a Grade II, is situated near Great Whitley at the crossroads of a road network linking Stourport, Kidderminster, Droitwich, Worcester, Tenbury Wells and Bromyard.
The Hundred House Hotel is situated close to the English Heritage owned visitor attraction, Witley Court.
