WATER levels on the River Severn in Worcester have slowly begun to drop overnight.
The swollen river, which burst its banks on the city's South Quay following heavy rain just before Christmas, remains high, however.
Water is still covering Worcester Racecourse which bore the brunt of the wild wintry weather.
Some have taken the opportunity to have some fun in the water, with one person pictured water ski-ing on the racecourse.
This weekend is, thankfully, expected to remain largely dry, although blustery showers and longer spells of rain return on Monday and Tuesday, just as county residents prepare to see in the new year.
