Alerts also in place for rivers across Worcestershire
THREE flood warnings have been activated for parts of the River Teme, which runs through Worcestershire, and the River Severn at Kempsey and Callow End.
Flooding is expected to occur at Stanford Bridge and in Bransford, both near Worcester, and, although the Severn at Kempsey is currently lower than it was when it burst its banks at Christmas, it may continue to rise.
After the heavy rain which fell throughout yesterday, five alerts have also been issued for the county, including Barbourne Brook, the rivers Severn and Avon, Lower Teme, and one covering River Isbourne, Badsey Brook, Honeybourne Brook, Bretforton Brook, Littleton Brook and their tributaries.
There are roads closed including Church Street, in Eckington, and Mill Bank, in Fladbury, as well as surface water reported near the golf club, in Bransford.
Today's weather is expected to be dry but rivers are will peak in the afternoon and possibly lead to problems tomorrow.
Updates to follow.
