TWO youths have been arrested following the robbery of an off-licence in which a pellet gun was discharged.

Two men, both with their faces covered, walked in to the TCL off-licence, in Evesham Road, Redditch, at around 9pm on Wednesday and confronted the proprietor, who was alone in the store.

He was threatened and a pellet gun was discharged by one of the robbers, although no-one was injured.

The raiders then fled, on foot, with property including cigarettes and alcohol, some of which has now been recovered.

An investigation was launched by Redditch CID after the alarm was raised.

Two 15-year-old boys are currently being held in custody on suspicion of robbery at a police station in North Worcestershire.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Redditch CID on 101 quoting reference number 555-S-080114.
