One lane of the A44 Worcester Bridge is currently closed inbound between New Road and Bridge Street.

Worcestershire County Council is warning drivers to expect delays while Western Power Distribution continues carrying out what it calls 'emergency repairs' to a high voltage cable fault.

The lane closure, affecting drivers heading towards the city centre, is expected to be removed by 2.30pm.

The work got underway at 9.30am this morning after workers were not able to finish the job last night.

It follow's yesterday's closure, which occured just after 2pm and carried on into rush hour, causing heavy tailbacks towards Hallow.
