STREET cleaners in Worcester have been given the chance to brush up their skills after being handed a new piece of kit.

Worcester City Council's street cleaning operatives now have use of pedestrianised sweepers and hand barrows.

The new kit comes at a busy time for city council workers who, in the past week, have been clearing silt from Worcester's South Quay which was under floodwater earlier this month.

Thanks to them for trying to make the City a clean one. Shame some people don't appreciate their hard work.
