Catalytic convertors stolen in Kempsey

THIEVES stole two catalytic convertors from vehicles parked in Kempsey this week.

Sometime between the evening of Tuesday, January 14, and the following morning, thieves cut through the exhaust system and stole the catalytic convertor from a Ford Galaxy vehicle, parked in Kings Hill, Kempsey.

On the same evening, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm thieves also emoved and stole a catalytic convertor from a red Mitsubishi pick up parked in its owner's driveway on Main Road, Kempsey.

A witness saw two males run off from the scene with the convertor unit, to a dark coloured Ford Mondeo, and then drive off, initially into Ellsdon.

Anyone with information on either of the incidents is asked to call the police on non emergency number 101 and quote reference numbers 0101S 150114 or 0633S 140114.
