A WORCESTER business was on the receiving end of a visit by the city's MP.

Robin Walker stopped by at Worx Marketing on Pope Iron Road in Barbourne, which specialises in telemarketing.

During the visit Mr Walker officially opened Worx's new offices. The firm had previously operated from Severn House in Crown East, Worcester.

"It is important for us to have close town centre links so we can attract the kind of team members we need as we expand," said Worx general manager, David Lowe.

The MP chatted to the firm's six members of staff .

“Using the telephone to generate sales enquiries is often associated with pushy sales people," said Mr Lowe.

"For us, it is about softening the approach so we understand the needs of the prospect and never ever push them into a sale.

"More companies should be using the telephone to generate business as it is effective when done properly.”

We all enjoyed Mr. Walkers visit to our offices. We were particularly impressed how politically balanced he is, and he spoke a lot about his support for the local food bank and the work they do

Perhaps while in Worcester, Mr Walker could have paid a visit to County Hall to talk to Mrs Haines and Mr Hardman to identify why the council is staffed by incompetent people who generally deliver poor services and waste so much tax payer's money.

Would taking £5/w off (everyone's?) benefits payments for a national low income bus pass program be a good idea, or not save enough for the extra demand? Would free up people to look for work and help those on low pay - as part of a Minimum Wage Rise to £7.25 paid for by a significant rise in National EmployER National Insurance Contribution Start Threshold and a removal of Working Tax Credits - for system simplification and cost savings? Seems reasonable...

,MINIMUM 4 HOUR CONTRACTS - no Zero Hour Contracts - NO being told to 'GO HOME' after you've arrive on time at 5:00am after an hour's walk, as AGREED the DAY BEFORE, days in a row, with little regularity.. Minimum 4 hours paid if you turn up as agreed... Mr. Walker.

Here's one for the more Righty./ Lefty types..

Charity Benefits Credit Card also as part of JSA / ESA... Not food stamps for use in street shops as that would pretty much take the bottom out of the Bargain Bin in the supermarkets overnight.. Charities are already undercutting the NEW retail market and those on low income already use them so it makes not too much difference to the structure of the economy and product pricing...

£5 to £7.50 / week on your Charity Shop Benefits Card,,, Can be used to buy ONLINE CHARITY GOODS too... This is instead of (some/all) Charity Shop Subsidies... 1 weeks JSA, max (now £60/week!) credit paid off by £7.50 a fortnight out of JSA, automatically

Both options would help balance the books and cut benefits costs by a few Billion whilst PROMOTING CHARITY... £60 a week + charity allowance & local / national bus pass system... SAVES MONEY & jobs overall for NON-ADMIN, freedom promoting PURPOSES...

...For Libs & Labs

This is an attempt at compromise between GUARDIANS, KIDS & BIRTH &
EMPLOYMENT...
3 months Pregnancy Leave (women only!), max, 1 month paid...
6 months Maternity & Paternity Leave, max, 3 months paid...
6 Months Total Leave, max...
Job Sharing / half weeks instead of full Pregnancy & Maternity Leave encouraged as much as possible BY PAY...

...Here's one for UKIP:

A PROGRESSIVE scale for all Benefits to Foreigners depending on Years Worked in The UK & Total Income Tax paid in The UK... Same for British Citizenship for immigrants - that should not be based on 'Marriage'...

0% of Full UK Benefits in the first year, going up 10% every year for 10 years... If you've paid enough tax, kept your nose clean you will also be (most probably/guaranteed?
) eligible to Full British Citizenship (which will give further rights)...

Right to be with family does not mean a right to unemployment benefit... Free flights are a more humane option than mass semi-incarceration / social housing or tent cities here... If you haven't got a guaranteed job or REAL COURSE you will only get a TOURIST VISA...
