RARE vintage model cars were stolen during a burglary.

Burglars broke into a home in Cropthorne, near Pershore and stole four rare Scalextric vintage Bentley model cars and a box of vinyl records.

The raid happened sometime between 10am on Saturday, January 18 and 10am on Monday, January 20, after they forced open a rear door.

They took the model cars, one was a model of a 1930s Brooklyn Racing Bentley in British Racing Green, and a vinyl box containing 50 to 70 records.

Detective Constable Dan Fenn from Worcester Proactive CID said: “The model cars are very distinctive and we are appealing to anyone who has been offered items like these to contact us. They are cherished personal family possessions which we want to recover.

“We also want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in Cropthorne around the time of the burglary, anyone who has been offered the cars or vinyl records and anyone with information that could lead to recovering the stolen items and tracing those responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Fenn on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident 0396s 200114.
