Of course we do. Someone wants to put a porch on their house apparently. That's news. Isn't it? ;-)

Plenty of items posted as news but the letters page hasn't been updated for over a week.
Do you think they are trying to persuade us to take out a subscription?

Can't decide what they're up to. Seems a bit erratic doesn't it - some stories you can leave comments on, some you can't, and not on contentious stories either. Are they just sticking everything that's in the print edition onto the website to fill up the empty space? We've never had planning applications before unless they're big ones. And is this what people pay for with the full online edition? It feels to me that they've put someone in charge of loading the website, and they haven't been given any guidance on how to do it or what to put on it. OR, and this is my favoured theory; they're just doing it to annoy us! All I can tell you is that I'm spending less and less time here because basically, I can't be bothered to read through all the rubbish.

Like a lot of people I gave up on the printed paper when the price went through the roof.
At about the same time this site started getting worse.
I agree with you about the ability to post comments. I had considered sending an email to ask them what is going on but i doubt that I would get a sensible reply.
I never thought I would say this but "Bring back Murray"
