PEOPLE of all ages are being invited to get into the carnival spirit by taking part in creative workshops.

Museums Worcestershire and Imagineer Productions are hosting two free sessions to allow all the family to craft their own carnival banner to carry in the Magnificent MOTHS (Museums on the High Street) Parade on Saturday, February 22 as part of Love Worcester.

The first will be held at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, Foregate Street, on Saturday, February 8, followed by the second at the Commandery, Sidbury, on Sunday, February and both run from 2pm to 4pm.

Participants will have an opportunity to explore the attraction's collections with some pieces available to handle before they then translate their favourite piece into a banner which they will take to the streets of the city during the grand parade later in the month.

The Magnificent MOTHS Parade, which starts at 2pm and with entertainment from noon, will be a day of magical and surprising performances and events inspired by Museums Worcestershire's collections, buildings and exhibitions.

The parade welcomes back Victorian explorer and collector Winnie Bird and her Magnificent Giant Moths.

Booking is essential.
