VISITORS to Worcester city centre will experience magical and surprising performances and events later this month.

The Magnificent MOTHS Parade, brought to you by Museums Worcestershire and Imagineer Productions as part of Love Worcester, will take to the streets of the Faithful City on Saturday, February 22.

Inspired by the collections, buildings and exhibitions of Museums Worcestershire there will be performances from noon, including two live bands, carnival dancers and outdoor theatre and dance, plus the grand parade from 2pm.

The parade will feature more than 100 people and its route will see it pass along the High Street, Church Street, the Shambles and Pump Street before making a U-turn at the Elgar Statue and heading back down the High Street to finish at the Guildhall.

It will also welcome back Victorian explorer and collector Winnie Bird, aboard her travellator with her Magnificent Giant Moths.
