DEAF people hoping to go to university are invited to an event tomorrow which aims at showing them what support they can get.

Hosted by the Esmail Patel, CEO at (D.E.A.F.) Deaf Education Advocacy Fellowship at the University of Worcester tomorrow between 10am and 3pm, students over the age of 14 will be able to find out with their carers, parents, teachers or support workers what they will need to do for university applications.

Helpers will be on hand to show visitors how to complete applications for Student Finance England, disability support and UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admission Service).

There will also be a campus tour and lunch provided for free.

D.E.A.F. work with many universities throughout the UK and their involvement is to reach out to the students who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide full support to get to university.
