A PHOTOGRAPH of an unknown man has been found hidden in the frame of another picture which has been on the wall of a Worcester home for more than 30 years.
Connie Fleming, of Nottingham, was sorting through her mother’s things at her house in Merrimans Court when she took a picture of someone in a poppy field off the wall. As she did, she noticed a square shape in the middle of it.
She said: “There was a black and white picture in the back of it behind wooden slats.
“I asked my dad about it and he said he bought the original picture around 30 years ago at a junk shop and had no idea who the person was or that it was even in there.”
The photograph shows a man in a long coat and military hat and has a signature in the right hand corner.
Ms Fleming now wants to trace the family of the man in the picture so that she can give it back to its rightful owners.
Because she is only visiting the area, the photograph will be left in the hands of the Archive Service at The Hive where it will stay until a member of the man’s family goes to claim it.
