A RENEWED appeal has been made to find an attacker who left a clubber with serious facial injuries.

The 18-year-old victim sustained a shattered cheek bone and eye socket, a broken jaw, missing teeth and extensive bruising following the attack in Play nightclub on Blueschool Street in Hereford between 2am and 2.45am on Sunday, January 12.

He picked up the injuries having been pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the face.

He was thought to have been separated from his friends at the nightclub and went to use the toilets when he was attacked.

A police spokesman said: “This was a vicious, and we believe, unprovoked attack by complete stranger that has caused serious facial injuries.

“We still firmly believe the young man was helped by a number of people following this incident and we are very keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have helped this man on the night in question.

“There is the possibility that people who helped the victim may have seen what happened and could possibly provide a description of the attacker. We would also like to hear from anyone else who witnessed the assault, or any of the events that led up to it.

“We want to stress that this was an extremely nasty incident – not some minor scuffle – which has left a young man with some very serious and extremely painful injuries."

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting number 220s 120114.
