A meeting giving people the chance to find out the latest in the Upton library saga is set to be held tonight.
The surgery type meeting will also give people the opportunity to come forward as volunteers in a host of roles within the library.
In order to keep the library open, people must step forward and form a community interest group to take on the responsibility of its management.
If a community interest group is formed, it will be classed as a registered charity, meaning vast reductions on the cost of keeping the library open.
This development comes after Worcestershire County Council have announced they will no longer fund the library past April 1, although several parishes, including Upton upon Severn, have pledged financial support to the campaign by raising their precepts.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, from 7.30pm, at the Memorial Hall, Upton.
