A Chinese New Year celebration has raised £800 in aid of the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.

The event included traditional lion dancing and was held at the Chung Ying Central Restaurant in Birmingham.

A charity raffle was also organised by WaiLo Li, aged 29, a former Worcester Sixth Form College pupil through Project TOM, the organisation she set up in 2008 to encourage more young people into charity work.
