A POLICE car was rammed by a stolen black Land Rover Defender in north Worcestershire today.

The stolen car, registration number KU02 CHL, was taken from off a drive in Bittell Road, Barnt Green, at about 4am.

It was spotted in Packhorse Lane, Wythall, by officers in a marked BMW police car at about 4.30am who tried to blocked it in.

But the stolen car just rammed it out of the way and made off.

The two officers in the vehicle were shaken but not injured but it's believed the police car was written off.
