Malvern College launched its hashtag #Artworkoftheweek feature on Twitter at the end of January to showcase the work of the college’s young artists.

Tim Newsholme, director of art at Malvern, said: “We have many talented individuals here, and sharing their work online is a great way of allowing a wider audience to see what they have created.”

Anna Drzeniek, who painted ‘Journeys’, the first piece to go online, said: “My painting was inspired by a contemporary Chinese painter who attracted my attention by his use of bright colours which portray different emotions.

"In my piece, the face on the left is emotionally more stable than the face on the right, which is more confused and at odds with itself. The deliberately unfinished quality adds to the general dynamic.”

Artwork is regularly rotated through the college but as there is so much, not everything can be put up on display.

Luckily, with the help of social media and the website, where followers and visitors can view galleries across all of the arts subjects, seeing more of the inspiring work produced by our pupils has now become possible.
