BLUSHING brides to be and their grooms enjoyed the I Will wedding show at the Hilton Hotel in Bromsgrove on Sunday.

Almost 200 prospective brides and grooms came along on the day and saw an array of exhibitors, which filled the stylish hotel, with wedding products and services encompassing everything from balloons and beauty to travel planning and live piano music.

The latest wedding fashions for women and men were also displayed by local boutiques, while visitors enjoyed browsing the spacious facilities.

Laura Facey, of Laura Elizabeth Cakes in Worcester, was particularly pleased with the event’s success.

She said: "We always have a good response at the Hilton, and this show was no exception. It was really well-attended and we had a steady flow of people showing lots of interest in our cakes – a great start to the spring season for us."

Florist Caroline Nasta, of Redditch, was also delighted, adding: "This was an excellent show, well-organised and planned and very well advertised throughout the county. It was my first time with I Will, and I’d definitely recommend them, I’m looking forward to my next show at Studley Castle."

Unfortunately the I Will show at Worcester County Cricket Club, scheduled for this Sunday (February 16), has been postponed due to the adverse weather but a new date will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the next show takes place at St Andrews Town Hotel on Sunday, February 23, between 11am and 3pm, when the historic building will be filled with all sorts of wedding essentials.

There is free parking available so guests can spend as long as they need to browsing the stands and entering the free prize draw to win a dream dress from this season’s sponsor, Bridal Boutique of Worcester.

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as The Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News – bring together a range of services under one roof. This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.

Wedding Fair next Sunday at WCCC is cancelled so good to get this in somewhere so it can also be highlighted.
