POLICE are appealing for information after £4,500 worth of barbed wire was stolen from an industrial estate in Stourport earlier this week.

The 270 rolls were stolen at McVeigh Parker in Wilden industrial estate between 2.30pm and 7.15am on Monday, February 10.

The thieves removed a section of metal fencing to drive a vehicle into the site and take the wire from an outbuilding.

It is believed the wire, some of which was wrapped in green cardboard, was taken for scrap.
