Both Worcester News and BBC Hereford & Worcestshire Radio, Have been and still are providing an Excellent FLOOD information service. Unless of course people like WorldWon'tListen expects an hourly personal phone-call.
In fact the local news agencies have benn totally ahead of the Government who probably, now that LONDON is being affected, are just reacting 5 to 6 weeks after the floods began, and sending the troops in effective numbers at last. With Philip Hammond posing as a Born Again savour, even if he had just watched TV or read the papers he would have been aware of the disasters down in the South West. But now Cameron & Co are now grubbing for crumbs of praise. Oh yes I forgot, there are Elections coming .

Also the proposed new convenience store will by its location have quite an affect on locals and traffic entering and leaving St Georges Lane and Barbourne. So it is newsworthy, or yet another planning issue will get ushered quietly in.
