A WOMAN who had to leave her home in Holt Fleet after it burned down has not been able to find her son's cat since.

Debbie Houghton was woken by police officers shouting for people to get out of a thatched cottage as its roof was burning in the early hours of the morning of Thursday, January 9.

Since then, she, her partner and her son have not been able to return to the annexe which they lived in and have not been able to find Ash, their one-year-old grey cat with white markings.

She said: "He was last seen on January 19 and have had a few sightings beforehand but now nothing. He's a very friendly cat, likes fuss and would go to anyone - I have a little boy missing his cat dearly."

The family are currently living in emergency accommodation and fear the cat, who was not microchipped, has been unable to find them again so have hung posters and pleas to find him.

Anyone with information about sightings or the whereabouts of Ash is asked to contact Ms Houghton on 07968 482980.
