A MIDDLEWICH superdog and her owner are through to the semi-finals on Channel 4’s Superstar Dogs.
Izzy, a two-year-old border collie, and her owner Gareth Hughes, a music teacher, surpassed 30 other pairs wowing judges with their talent and team work in last night’s episode.
The couple is one of twelve to make it through to one of the four semi-finals which includes the winner of each heat as well as the two overall fastest losers.
“We are training every day at a club where they focus on positive reinforcement,” Gareth said.
“Izzy is the best companion ever and she has changed my outlook on life as well as my health and weight.”
Izzy can skateboard, fetch the remote, do the conga and is currently being taught to pull her owner on a scooter.
Gareth and Izzy will appear in one of the semi-finals on Channel 4 on Friday February 28, Monday March 3, Tuesday March 4 or Wednesday March 5 at 5.30pm.
