THE river bridge at Upton is to reopen at 5pm today, Worcestershire County Council has just announced.
Worcestershire Silver Tactical Coordinating group met again this morning with regard to the response to current flooding across the county.
Here is the latest advice and the most up to date position available for members of the public.
Bewdley Bridge: The situation is being assessed and barriers will hopefully be removed and the bridge reopened on Wednesday, February 19.
Upton Bridge: The water levels are still expected to rise and although it has dropped to some extent, the bridge has been closed to vehicles and pedestrians. The situation has now been assessed and we will be operating a convoy system into the town from 5pm.
Alternative access into the town is available at Tunnel Hill via Wellend Hylton Road: Severn Trent Water are working on site today and it is anticipated the road will reopen at some point on Wednesday.
