FIRE advice has been given to the owners of some properties in Lowesmoor after concerns were raised that the premises were at severe risk of fire.

A fire officer was asked to inspect the area and give advice on fire safety to the owners of some properties.

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service said: "They weren't in a very good state.

"They weren't in a very sanitary state and there were piles of stuff everywhere."

West Mercia Police asked for the organisation's help during an operation in the area with Worcestershire Trading Standards at around 12.45pm yesterday (Tuesday).

Details of which properties were involved were not released.
