SNOW is still on the way as the Met Office updates its yellow warning for the white stuff.

The warning is valid from 2am to 5pm tomorrow (Friday) and rain is forecast to turn to snow for a time, mainly over high ground during the morning.

It is unlikely that any snow will accumulate over low ground but some areas may see falling snow and slushy deposits for a time.

People are being advised to be aware of the potential for some disruption to travel, especially during the Friday morning rush hour.

The Met Office's chief forecaster said: "An area of low pressure is expected to move eastwards on Friday. There remains some uncertainty in its track and therefore on the risk and location of any snow.

"This warning will be kept under review and the public are advised to keep up to date with the forecast and warnings."

A yellow warning means 'be aware' as sever weather is possible and people should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays or the disruption of their day-to-day activities.
