THE Bishop of Worcester will be hitting the county's streets this Ash Wednesday (5th) and offering a prayer for those he meets.

Dr John Inge will join the Archdeacons of Worcester and Dudley, Roger Morris and Nikki Groarke, plus other clergy and lay people.

They will be approaching members of the public in Malvern, Stourport, Broadway and Kingswinford to ask them for their prayer requests, which will be written on prayer cards with prayers said at Ash Wednesday services later in the day.

“Each Ash Wednesday for the last five years we have been out on the streets of the Diocese offering to pray for individuals and we’ve always found that people have really appreciated somebody taking the time and interest to pray for them and any problems or concerns that they’re currently experiencing," said Bishop John.
