A chilly weekend ahead

First published in News

WITH the snow we were promised on Friday failing to materialise, this weekend looks set to be a chilly one.

The Met Office is predicting Saturday will be mostly sunny and dry, but Sunday will bring with it some wet and windy spells.

The day is predicted to start off fairly calm but deteriorate at about midday, with rain and northerly gusts of up to 30 mph at times.

Saturday will be the chillier of the days, struggling to get above freezing before 9am and a peak of only about seven degrees in the afternoon, although it is likely to feel colder due to the wind chill.

Sunday will be slightly warmer, staying around six to eight degrees throughout the day.

Some fog and ice patches may develop overnight from Friday to Saturday but the following night should be clearer.

In true British fashion, the rest of the first week in March will be decidedly changeable with a mixture of sun and showers and some strong winds with a possibility of hail and thunder in some areas, although it may become brighter and drier as the week goes on.

I looked at several weather forecast sites after reading that story but the only place I saw snow predicted for the Worcester area was on here. Journalism at its finest, yet again!

If today's weather is meant to be the chillier of today and tomorrow, fail to see a problem. It's glorious today. Just a beautiful spring day. Who is forecasting our weather? I think they should look for another job!
