WITH rain pouring down across Worcestershire, two flood warnings have been issued for brooks in the county.

The Environment Agency issued a flood alert for the Bow and Piddle Brook, which currently stands at about 0.73m and is expected to hit levels of up to 2.3m tonight.

An alert has also been issued for the River Isbourne, Badsey Brook, Honeybourne Brook, Bretforton Brook and Littleton Brook and its tributaries.

The Environment Agency's manager for Worcestershire Dave Throup tweeted: "I can confirm driving conditions in #worcestershire are appalling. Huge amounts of surface water. Please take extreme care."

The rain is expected to have cleared up by about 9pm but will be followed by an extremely cold night, meaning there is a possibility of ice on roads across the county.
