Traffic building up after rush hour crash

First published in News

MORNING rush hour commuters are facing queues and delays following a motorway crash.

Two lanes of the northbound M5 are closed due to an accident involving two lorries and a car in the roadworks area between junction 5a at Droitwich and junction 4a with the M42.

It is causing congestion on the M5 to junction six with the A449, A440 Warndon Way and A4538 Pershore Lane.

Lanes one and two are closed and traffic was already slow moving along this stretch due to the ongoing roadworks.

Traffic is very slow moving with long delays of up to two hours in and around the area being reported by eye witnesses.

Why on earth have they got miles of cones along the motorway WHERE THEY ARE NOT WORKING??

Surely this would free up some congestion? a 25 minute journey took an hour this morning as everyone is dodging the motorway hell. Nightmare. And until SEPTEMBER! I know it needs to be done and the new barriers look far more practical but just close the areas your actually working on PLEASE.
