A PHOTOGRAPHER from Malvern has won a top award for one of her wildlife pictures.
Sue Dudley's image, entitled Bedewed Bluebell, was named best picture in the world flora category of the Scottish Seabird Centre's annual nature photography awards.
And another one of her pictures, Sedge Warbler, was commended in the Scottish Wildlife category of the competition, which is aimed at amateur photographers.
Mrs Dudley said: “I'm thrilled to have had my photo selected from such a large and high-quality field, and especially to have a humble British bluebell win a class for world flora, which must have contained many exotic plants from overseas.
“Having seen the standard of some of the entries, I'm also delighted and amazed to have had a photo commended in the Scottish Wildlife category.”
Award-winning photographer Lorne Gill, who was one of the judges, said: “This has been my first year involved in judging and I have been impressed by what I have seen.
"The entries have been thought-provoking and creative across all the categories. Technically the pictures are stronger than ever and aesthetically very good indeed. Well done to Sue!”
