IT is the last call for fitness fans to join in the ‘Scenic Six’ annual run around a village near Pershore.

The event is named after the six-mile multi-terrain run which takes place around the lanes, fields and footpaths of Peopleton on Sunday, April 6.

For those who would like a less strenuous day out, there is an alternative two-mile fun run, jog or walk around the village starting at 11am.

More than140 people have already signed up for the popular event which is raising money for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester.

Entry is £10 for the six-mile run, or £12 on the day and £3 for the two mile route.

Lizzie Brazier, St Richard's Hospice Community Fundraiser, said: "This is a great family event which is suitable for people of all ages.

"Whether you’re a keen runner or just fancy a nice walk through the countryside, there is a route for everyone."

The deadline for online entries only Monday or people can just sign up on the day.
