DANCING comedy duo Twist and Pulse will be stopping by the teach Worcester dancers the art of "Streetomedy".

After a successful first six months in business, Beat Breakerz School of Dance has secured Ashley Glazebrook (aka Twist) and Glen Murphy (aka Pulse) to show its dancers how to combine street dance and comedy.

After coming second in 2010's Britain's Got Talent by performing routines filled with glides, heel toes, pop lock and drops, the classic wave, some shuffles, and adding in miming, talking, pretend fighting and The Cheeky Girls.

Principal Amie Harris said she arranged the workshop, which takes place at Perdiswell Leisure Centre on Saturday, April 19, to celebrate with the dancers who have already signed up for classes in Worcester.

"Children will learn a funky street dance routine and perform it back with the boys. Then Twist and Pulse will perform for our students and children will have the opportunity to have pictures taken with the boys and have signed autographs," she said.

The school has now extended its classes into Malvern and Droitwich, as well as around the city, and a team has been put together to start competing against other dance troops.

Miss Harris said: "I have auditioned and put together a fantastic Junior Team which will represent Beat Breakerz in all performances, shows and competitions. We have only been working together for five weeks as a team and we have our first competition on the April 27 in Stoke-on-Trent.

"People usually wait months before entering competitions but I am so confident and believe in the children - they have so much talent."

The Junior Team will also be performing at the Guild Hall on May 3 to promote Youth Arts in associations with Worcester Community Trust.

There are limited space left for the three-hour Twist and Pulse workshop, which is open to the public, for £36 per person running from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.
