THE reopening of Kidderminster's Household Recycling Centre after it closed for demolition work, has been delayed until the end of August.
Severn Waste Services, the contractors in charge of the project, said the safe removal of the building, which contained cement bonded asbestos, was more complex than first thought.
Worcestershire Council Council said it was working closely with the contractor and will continually review the programme as it progresses.
During its closure, people can use the next nearest recycling centre in Stourport, in Minster Road.
