A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been banned from a number of retail parks and stores in Worcester.

Keighley Harris, 21, has been told she can't enter the Elgar and Blackpole retail parks, both in Blackpole Road, for the next two years.

The Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) imposed by Worcester magistrates also prevents Harris, of Shap Drive, Warndon, Worcester, from entering the Blooms of Bressingham garden centre on Droitwich Road, from Asda in St Martins' Quarter, Tesco on Mill Wood Drive, and St Peter’s Garden Centre in Broomhall.

She is also banned from using foul, abusive or racist language or gestures or being threatening, intimidating or aggressive towards anyone not of the same household as herself.

The punishment comes after magistrates were told she had stolen a bottle of whisky from the Tesco store on January 4, three hairdryers and two other styling products from Argos eight days later and attempting to steal fragrances from Asda on January 20.

She also stole saucepans from Homesense on January 23.

The court was also told Harris displayed anti-social behaviour on some of the occasions when she stole.

In February she pushed a male accomplice, who was feigning a disability, around Blooms of Bressingham in a wheelchair, and they selected three items of children’s clothing which he concealed by sitting on. When challenged she threatened to assault a member of staff.

She was also drunk, uncooperative and abusive towards officers who were arresting her at her home, kicking out and subjecting one to racial abuse.

The court was told Harris had also been abusive and aggressive towards family members, throwing a flower pot at a window of one relative’s home and threatening to burn another’s house down.

As well as the CRASBO, magistrates also gave Harris a community order, drug rehabilitation requirement, and supervision order, all for 12 months.
